Founded in 1992 in Salem, Oregon, U.S.A. by a team of technical, production and field managers with more than 100 years of combined experience in the essential oil industry.  Essex Labs is crafted as an employee-owned company with a strong commitment to supplying customers with the highest quality essential oils and extracts supported by superior technical service and innovation.

We specialize in an array of essential oils produced in North America, particularly Peppermint, Spearmint, Dillweed, and Cedar wood.  At customers requests, we have also become a processor of selected dried botanicals.  Our field managers work closely with a diverse grower base to produce the finest quality material at the farm level while our technical and production experts ensure that our customers specifications are precisely met.

Our blending, purification and fractional distillation equipment provide us the capabilities to provide unique essential oil products for our customers proprietary formulations.  These systems also allow us to replicate any specific quality of essential oil which our customers may require.

We constantly work to develop innovative processing systems as well as unique plant species to provide our customers the flavor and fragrance components which create competitive edges for their products in the food, confectionery, beverage, health, cosmetic and fragrance industries.

Research and development efforts are an integral part of our service.  To further our capabilities we have formed strategic alliances with Premier Botanicals and Leeward Resources to develop novel plant varieties and new production areas.  These efforts will ultimately benefit our customers as well as the growers of our raw materials.
